Previously known as It’s My Life Café, the establishment has been rebranded as Chumuk, a name that beautifully captures the spirit of tea, friendship, and Kolkata’s timeless adda culture.
Ahead of Mahalaya, the café recently hosted a special Pujo Menu Launch and Sharodiya Celebration, introducing a delightful range of food and beverages for the festive season. Designed with a Gen-Z-inspired, Pinterest-worthy aesthetic, the café offers a cozy ambience, trendy interiors, and a pocket-friendly dining experience. With an approximate cost of just ₹250 for two, Chumuk aims to become a favourite hangout destination for young food lovers.
The special menu launch featured a delicious selection of dishes served to members of the press, media representatives, and invited guests. The spread included Veg Momo Thukpa, Chicken Pesto Sandwich, Chicken Rice Bowl, Farm Fresh Pizza, Maggi Jhalfrezi, Cheese Chilli Toasties, Fried Chicken Drumsticks, and the House Special Brownie with Chocolate Sauce. The thoughtfully curated menu focuses on quick, flavourful, and affordable bites, making the café an ideal stop for food lovers during Durga Puja pandal hopping.
Adding a musical touch to the celebration, singer Anny Ahmed, along with her band Survana, delivered a captivating live performance during the café’s opening celebration and menu launch. The combination of music, delicious food, and a lively festive atmosphere made the occasion memorable for the guests.
Speaking about the café’s growing popularity, one of the owners, Mahua Bhattacharya, said, “Our café is not just attracting young visitors. We are also welcoming older customers who enjoy exploring different varieties of tea and beverages.”
