Kolkata: Khushiyaan Cares inaugurated its 360° Metabolic Diabetes & Obesity Clinic, introducing an integrated healthcare initiative aimed at addressing diabetes, obesity, metabolic health, women’s health, dental care, tobacco cessation, fitness and overall well-being. The initiative sought to provide comprehensive and accessible healthcare under one roof, with a special focus on dignity and quality care for all sections of society.
The programme was graced by Chief Guest Lion A. P Singh, Chairperson LCIF and IPP. Keynote Speaker Lion Sangeeta Jatia, PID and Board Appointee, also attended the occasion. Guest of Honours Mr. Rohit Surana, Chairman, JITO Kolkata Chapter, and Mr. Pradeep Patwa, Trustee, SS Jain Sabha & Secretary, Shree Jain Hospital & Research Centre, were present.
Speaking at the occasion, Smt. Agnimitra Paul, Hon’ble Minister of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal, said, “Great things often have the humblest beginnings. This foundation started simply as a noble idea shared among a few friends during their morning walks in the dark days of COVID-19. What began as a heartbeat of compassion soon turned into a lifeline for thousands. Today, I am deeply moved to know that this beautiful tradition continues even today—providing freshly cooked, hygienic meals prepared in your central kitchen to anxious families waiting outside PG Hospital and Shambhunath Pandit Hospital is nothing short of divine service. Now, you are taking that heroic legacy a step further. The Khushiyaan Cares Clinic is beautifully envisioned as a 360-degree care solution for diabetes patients. Most importantly, this clinic is built on the core belief that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, ensuring that the underprivileged receive the exact same dignity and medical excellence as anyone else. As the Minister for Urban Development, my goal is to build cities with a soul. Foundations like yours provide that soul.”

Dr. Bijay Patni, Doctor-in-Charge, Khushiyaan Cares, said, “The 360° Clinic represents our commitment to treating the individual as a whole rather than addressing isolated health concerns. Through coordinated care, preventive interventions and greater awareness, we aim to help people manage metabolic health challenges while encouraging sustainable lifestyle changes.”
Lion A. P Singh, Chairperson LCIF and IPP, said, “Healthcare becomes truly meaningful when compassion is translated into accessible action. Khushiyaan Cares has taken an important step by bringing multiple dimensions of preventive and clinical care together, with the larger objective of serving the community.”
The programme was attended by Mr. Arun Maloo, Mr. Pawan Bajoria, Mr. Ravindra Banthia, Mr. Anurag Daga and Mr. Daulat Bhura, along with Lion O P Todi, Lion Ashok Jain, Lion Mahesh Agarwal, Lion Bharat Bagla, Lion Om Prakash Shroff, Lion Mudit Bagla, Lion Raj Kumar Jain, Lion Padma Poddar, Lion Kamla Chhajer VDG1, Lion Kamal Kishore Mantri & VDG2, Lion Vijay Jain, Multiple Council Chairperson MD 322 Lion Saloni Salvi, and other dignitaries from the district.

The launch of the 360° Metabolic Diabetes & Obesity Clinic marked another significant step in Khushiyaan Cares’ commitment to accessible, preventive and holistic healthcare. The initiative aimed to strengthen community health by bringing medical expertise, awareness and compassionate care together under one roof.
