Singer D4vd’s younger brother Caleb Burke has finally spoken out after social media rumors and tabloid reports pulled him into the middle of the case connected to Celeste Rivas Hernandez. In two Instagram stories shared on May 7, Caleb strongly denied claims that he helped Celeste get backstage at one of D4vd’s concerts years ago. He also called out outlets like TMZ and Daily Mail for accusing him of using the situation to gain attention for his music career. Caleb explained that many people online were wrongly saying he knew what was happening around his brother and was protecting him. However, he said that was completely false. Caleb clarified that he had not lived with D4vd for years and that the two were not very close growing up. According to him, they only spoke occasionally during family visits or tours. The controversy started after TMZ published a report on May 5 claiming Caleb was preparing to release music focused on romance and relationships while D4vd was facing serious legal trouble connected to Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death. Caleb responded by saying people were spreading false stories without understanding the full situation. He also stressed that his focus remained on wanting justice for Celeste and not making the case about himself.

Caleb Burke denies backstage rumors and says TMZ falsely linked his music career to D4vd case

In one of the Instagram stories, Caleb directly addressed an old concert video that has been circulating online. Some social media users claimed the clip showed him secretly bringing Celeste backstage during a D4vd concert. Caleb denied that accusation and explained what actually happened.According to Caleb, Celeste was already attending the concert before the backstage moment shown in the video. He said someone near the stage had asked them to grab an item from a fan, and the clip simply showed them walking back afterward. Caleb added that he was only 15 years old at the time and barely knew Celeste personally. He wrote in full, “People have been posting a video showing me backstage with her at one of d4vd’s concerts when I was 15 and I have been wanting to address it for awhile. People have even gone as far as to say that I was sneaking her backstage, which is not true.”Caleb also pushed back against claims that he suddenly started making music after the headlines surrounding his brother returned. He explained that he had already been sharing music online for the last three to four years. He added that he even stepped away from music for more than six months because of the emotional weight of the situation. The 18-year-old also revealed that he changed his online name from “cvleb” to “Kova” because he did not want his identity tied to the controversy. Caleb said his first music release under the new name had already been planned before renewed media attention around his brother began. At the end of his statement, Caleb said music has always been important to him and that he simply wants to build his own future without using tragedy for attention.
