Sharmili Shah, Principal of Acharya Tulsi Academy Orchids The International School, said, “We should not forget about the legacy that our ancestors have gifted us. Many modern communication tools have come, but we must also maintain the legacy of our traditional media. I am thrilled to see my school maintaining our country’s rich culture and heritage by celebrating World Radio Day. We have tried to promote the importance of public speaking through traditional media as we believe in modern education through a traditional approach. I wish my students all the best, and I believe they will continue maintaining this legacy.”
The theatre and mime teacher, Ms. Soma Roy said, “Orchids The International School is the best place where you can have a set of diversified and unique curriculum, and public speaking is one of them. I have observed students with a lower confidence level are doing extremely well with these public speaking initiatives, and we hope to conduct more such programs to help our students hone their skills.”
Md. Zaid, a student in grade 8 said, “I have wished to be an RJ since I was in grade 5, and I cannot express in words how happy I am and how much I enjoyed being an RJ today and hosting the Newtown Chime show for my school on World Radio Day.”
Mahiran Dasgupta, a student in grade 5 said, “I was a bit nervous, but I felt fantastic while performing in Orchadio. We had fun while rehearsing and watched our classmates host and perform. I would like to participate more in these kinds of events.”
